JMZ prepared a residence hall master plan for SUNY Plattsburgh that identified the need for renovations to Wilson and Whiteface Halls. The extensive renovation of Wilson Hall, the first step in the two-phase JMZ project, increased circulation space and introduced more natural light into the building. The design created open, collaborative spaces while maximizing the number of beds. The exterior of the building received new energy-efficient windows, insulated metal panels, and multiple entrance canopies. Whiteface Hall is scheduled for a similar renovation.
